The music of Nodus1 is instrumental improvisation that contains traces of the influence of folk, blues, jazz and bossa nova. The sources of sound are electronic, acoustic (treated and untreated) and extraneous sounds. The improvisation(s) within one recording are structured to greater and lesser degrees. Their music aims to encapsulate the mood of the moment in which it is recorded.

Nodus1 began in 2010 and have played low-key, informal gigs in London, Tokyo, Austria and Spain.
